Wednesday, October 6

Holy Eucharist with anointing and prayers for healing will be at 6:30 p.m. in the Church

Health and Wellness Club will meet for walking at 7:00 p.m

Choir practice meets at 7:30 p.m. in the Church, following the service

Thursday, October 7

The Daytimers meets at 10:30 a.m. here at the Parish Hall.

Health and Wellness Club will meet for exercise at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, October 8

Health and Wellness Club will meet for walking at 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, October 10

This is the deadline for Vestry nominations.  3 positions are open and the following 5 persons have agreed to be considered and require 2 people to nominate them:

Bridgett Bolden       Elizabeth Dowell       Kenneth Miller       Sean Wallace       Stacey Wilson

Nominations can be made at the 8:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. service.  The election will take place on Sunday, October 17.

Monday, October 11

Health and Wellness Club will meet for walking at 7:00 p.m.

Hope Episcopal's 5th  Annual  Barbecue Needs You!

Here's how you can help:  We are in need of donations of slabs of ribs and financial donations to support the purchase of other meats and condiments.  We will also need your support in selling tickets (can be picked up Sunday after service or at the office Mon-Fri 8:00-12:00 noon), marketing the event, and in setting up the day before and the day of the BBQ.  There is a sign up sheet in the Parish Hall.  Please join us in helping to make this annual event a success. Military Service Member Information

We would like to update the information on the members of the military that we keep in our prayers at Hope.  Our current list:  Christian, Jean, Chris, Trent, Kenny, Marc, Tom, Jeremy, Greg, Eugene, Johnathan and Joseph.  Full names and addresses would be appreciated.  Please contact Rev. Cursillo Reunion Group will meet at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

Looking Ahead. . .

Saturday, October 16

Family Game Night in the Parish Hall begins at 6:30 p.m.  This event is for everyone, and there will be a special session for teens.  Board games, card games, checkers and dominoes are all available, but feel free to bring your own favorite! Bring a dish to share for an evening of fun and fellowship

Sunday, October 17

Vestry Elections take place with ballots available during both services.  Votes will be counted during the Vestry Meeting following the 10:30 a.m. service.  Results will be posted in "This Week at Hope" after each candidate is contacted.

Saturday, October 23

Hope's 5th Annual BBQ Fundraiser takes place 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  Come out early to enjoy the delicious food and help make this a success!  Pre-orders are welcome & encouraged--pick up a form on Sunday after service or drop by the office Mon-Fri, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon!

Menu: 1/4 Chicken + Sausage Plate - $6.00, Brisket Plate - $7.00, 2 Meats Plate - $7.50, 3 Meats Plate $8.50, "All Ribs" Plate - $10.00, "A Taste Of Hope" Plate  (taste of 4 meats) - $10.00
